Lincoln, Nebraska is the ideal location for your college experience.  Lincoln offers opportunities for cultural enrichment, recreation, and social activities for students interested in learning both in and out of the classroom.

Housing

There are ample housing opportunities in Lincoln, a city that is well-equipped to provide quality, inexpensive living situations for students.  BryanLGH College of Health Sciences is centrally located, providing easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the downtown area.  There is affordable, attractive housing for rent near the College—and ample opportunities to find apartments and houses-for-rent throughout Lincoln.  See the Lincoln Journal-Star’s Apartments for You website.

Cultural Opportunities

Lincoln boasts first-rate shopping, touring musicals, theater, art galleries, renowned speakers, exciting sporting events, music festivals, late-night coffee spots, and excellent restaurants.  The College is within short driving or walking distance of all of these venues and attractions.

Recreational Opportunities

Lincoln offers thousands of acres of parks that are perfect for picnics, recreation, reading, or just hanging out.  They city also offers swimming, hiking, nature walks, tennis, lakes/boating, horseback riding—and miles of bike trails.  The Capitol Building and other civic attractions help to make our city unique.  And recreational complexes, such as the Woods Tennis Complex or Star City Shores water slides, provide fun and relaxation for students looking for a different kind of study break.

Safety

Lincoln is one of the safest college towns in the nation.  The city has an extremely low crime rate in all major categories.  BryanLGH College of Health Sciences and BryanLGH Medical Center are committed to ensuring safety on our campus as well.  Medical Center Security is available to escort individuals to and from the College or Medical Center when requested. Assistance also will be provided to jump start vehicles and inflate tires.  The College is located in one of the most established neighborhoods in the city; our parking lots and facilities are well lit; and we provide twenty-four hour access to security personnel.  All students are given a Crime Awareness Brochure that outlines specific procedures for preventing, reporting, and protecting against crime.
